Am I missing what this game is about? Are those buttons supposed to be only looked at and never touched?

If it wasnt for those buttons this game would be pretty pointless. If you want to play a game that is completely pointless may I suggest something like the Sims, at least you wouldnt have to worry about the big bad E-Thugs there.
