That's just it man. Hell, I've seen C/O's go right up to a lifer and start tearing his shit apart. The whole time, I'm shaking my fuckin head. If they were new C/O's I would rip them out of the cell and take them outside to have a nice chat with them. I'd ask them if they wanted to live and go home. Answer is obviously yes. They just don't get the fact that a lifer has NOTHING to lose. More so that guys doing time generally don't give a fuck about a lot of the "pick up your cell", "don't sag" basically the chump rules because of exactly what you said man, it's their house. I may visit it for 12+ hours a day, but non the less it's where they live 24/7/365.

So ya man, I feel ya. And ya, I wasn't the "asshole" C/O. I had my own quarks, but I let a lot of shit slide (mainly most of the little shit) so long as my admin didn't catch wind of it. lol If someone ratted on me, well I didn't have to say anything, the unit would take care of itself and make him request for a bed move. lol
