Former Edmonton stick up kid E_town_G, was found guilty of manslaughter and
conspiracy to commit robbery Monday (April 12) after a judge ruled over
the case in a New Jersey courtroom.
According to the suspects attorney , russel johnson, E_town_G (born C.J) was found guilty on 9 of the 11 counts he was
facing. The charges stem from a theft that involved the C.J, his brother, bryan james and C.Js former girlfriend Larissa Fisher. Fisher eventually
turned state's evidence against the men.
E_town_G was accused of leading the trio to steal upward of 500,0000
from two men. The incident went awry, however, when James allegedly
shot one of the men.
Fisher testified in the case that E_town_G wasn't present at a hotel
room he rented at the time of the crime. The Suspects attorney spoke to CNN News on Tuesday and expressed frustration about Fishers testimony.
"They found him guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery. There's a
very specific definition of robbery, by force," Johnson explained. "Then
they found him guilty of aggravated manslaughter, instead of
unintentional murder. The theory on which they convicted him leads to
conspiracy.
Johnsonpreviously filed a motion on E_towns behalf to separate his case
from James since the second man was allegedly believed to be the
shooter. The attorney said he feels his client should be facing lesser
charges based on the evidence presented. He has filed an appeal with the
court, and a motion should be made within 10 days, johnson said.
Sentencing for E_town_G is set for July 31.In which if found guilty, will be facing life in prison without the possibility of parole......
