I mean I'm not black and I used to say it back in Flint, but when I moved to Detroit I stopped cause I wasn't cool with nobody there and people think I'm white at first glance, they'd probably beat my ass.

let me make this clear cuz i dont like ppl think were glorified with BET and black history month
 when we say it its being used  for jokes because we cant actually hate our own damn race. when whites say it  its disrespectful because whites created and used it to say that we have no knowledge and we arent good for nothing but being their slaves, and we cant tell if thats how u really feel or not so its best that you dont say it al all.
BET exists because black ppl arent like white ppl, we have different preferences of entertainment. blacks have never been the majority and had all the generations before us (including ours)live good lives, so we cant relate the the shows that are aired by white ppl about white living. if you havent noticed things havent been easy for us so BET shows are providing us entertainment that we can relate to. we dont live the lives of whites, so we cant relate to the shows made for and by whites.
black history month was created because we were told that we cant be anything and life and that none of us have ever BEEN anything in life? those comments basically send young blacks into a mind state that they basically have no chance in life. we are also told that we arent important to the development of the world, which is not true. black history month shows us the african americans that actually made a difference, like inventing things that blacks AND whites use in their everyday life. sends out the message to black ppl that we are not doomed and we can become somebody in life; a message a lot of black children still need to hear today.
